I think I'm on a bit of a roll with CR - sort of got a burst of inspiration and I'm trying to ride it out for several chapters. I've already started the next one and hope to get some more time today to keep working on it.
The second thing on my priority list is to keep focused on First Sight, and I think I can keep progressing on it for a while too. But the other stories are probably gonna slack for a while.
Not giving up on any of them - but I probably won't get any chapters written on them for at least several weeks.
So what's the confession?
I um... sort of... started another story. **Cowers and dodges thrown tomatoes**
Yeah, I know that I really really suck about that. I need to stop starting stories and finish the ones that are already going - right?
I'm one of those people that always gets these little plot bunnies for new ideas flying through my head, and if I cannot find anyone out there who has already written the idea, or something close to it, it drives me insane until I write some of it down. Its the biggest reason I have so many 'started but abandoned' stories. You guys haven't seen even a fraction of the stories I've started but didn't get past 15 pages.
So anyway, this story was actually something I started writing a week after my son was born. I started it on my phone before I had been able to get any of my stories transferred onto my phone. So at that point, I wanted to write, but didn't have access to any of my docs yet.
Soooo... I started writing something new.
It's currently sitting at 36 pages long.
Yes. That's THIRTY SIX PAGES WRITTEN ON MY PHONE.
How sick is that?
I've got another one I also started on my phone that's sitting at exactly 15, but I haven't touched it lately... it'll probably end up sitting in my 'started but abandoned' graveyard.
Should I post the 15 page one here? See if anyone wants to take up the challenge? It's one of those 'Bella is the vampire first, and finds a human Edward' stories, but in a really rather different direction.
I wonder if anyone ever even reads this blog...
Are you guys aware that blogger is owned by google, so if you have a gmail account, that username and password works for this site too? So if you have gmail, you can post reply comments without having to sign up for some new account.
Just thought I'd mention that.
Anyway - the longer story; would anyone be interested in me posting that on ff.net? It's...
my cat is licking my hand. This is really cute, but also very annoying. It's making it very difficult to type right now.
Anyway - back on track. I'm thinking of continuing to work off-and-on on the story I started on my iphone just because I'm also really liking it. It's different then any of my other ideas.
Guess that's all.
:P
Please post it here. Maybe someone may get a particular thought or idea from your story that leads them to write their own or use it as a starting point. The best thing about posting stories is that other people read them and are inspired or altered by the tale. Mary Shelley thought Frankenstein would be a small story before she showed it to her future husband and he encouraged her to write more. Perhaps someone will do the same for your story.
ReplyDeleteI read your blog! :D I actually just created my gmail account hehe. 'Cause I can't use my hotmail account to post comments.
ReplyDeleteI would like it if you posted the longer story on FanFiction it sounds good. Please, for your fans *cough* me *cough cough* And Post the shorter story too, just warn us that it may not be finished.
