Now for something completely random

So this weekend I watched Brokeback Mountain for the first time.  I was aimlessly browsing through Netflixs when I stumbled across it and I was like 'I never did see that movie...' so I started it up and played it.

I totally freaking cried at the end.

A couple of my husband's friends who are ALWAYS at our house, came through the living room a few times and cracked jokes about indie films about gay cowboys eating pudding (it's a southpark ref if you don't get it).

So anyway, it got me thinking - first off, Heath Ledger in that movie?  Wow.  Seriously amazing performance.  He truly was a ridiculously talented actor.  So fucking amazing.  That was not an easy character to play, and he pulled it off amazingly well.  Just awe inspiring.

But it made me sad to realize that a lot of people probably never saw, and never will see that amazing performance because its easier to crack jokes about gay cowboys and write it off.  It wasn't even about gay cowboys.  I mean, it was about the lives of two cowboys who were gay, yes, but... meh.  Just sad.

Really amazing movie.
