writing stuff

So, I've got this thing where I don't actually plan out my stories... at all. I'm terrible. I could never be a professional writer. It's totally an aimless hobby for me.

I don't plot out things or writing outlines or any of that responsible crap that real authors do. lol...

So I'll come out and admit that the stories that sit and collect dust for months on end, are usually the stories where I got as far as I had vaguely figured out in my head... and then I ran out of legitimate ideas.

Evenfall is a prime example. I... well, I got to the furthest point that my mind had really planned out and hit a dead end. I mean, I 'sort of' knew where I want it to end. I've got some basic details planned out, but no actual real story plans.

So, those of you who like that story may be pleased to know that I had a bit of an idea the other day as to what I want to actually do with it. It's probably the first time in months that I actually even thought about that story (I'm horrible, yes. I'm sorry.)

Still - it's not high on the priority list. I'm more dedicated to finishing Curbed Rebellion first.

But just know that I actually came up with some plot bunnies again for that story, so it's not dead... just on delayed progress.

I've also got some ideas brewing for Halfbreed. Fairly detailed ideas, in fact... I'd sy I've got an entire chapter planned in detail on an event that will be happening a little further on in that story. I just need to get to it - lol.

Okay, I've got a question for you all. This one is off the writing topic, and onto... well, a rather random seeming note.

Do you think that Edward would have some body hair? Not just groin area, but I'm talking like - chest hair. Nothing big and fuzzy. Just minimal chest curls?

lol... yeah, totally random. But I'm texturing the chest area on my Edward model. hah - yeah, okay. I'm done. Just thought I'd ask. ;)

  1. No, I don't think Edward should have body hair ... It just seems wrong on Edward. >_<

  2. I think Vampire Edward would be smooth or have the kind of chest/body hair that is smooth and silky. Not like that course and itchy stuff.

Human Edward would have a bit more normal body hair. I imagine that before he was changed he wasn't perfect. I'm sure he had acne, was gangly, and was finally just growing into his body. Age 17 means a lot for a young man.

Hey- just curious, is Edward, you know.........snipped?

  3. hehe - Well, he always is in my stories. It was the turn of the century and in Chicago, and his family was supposed to be fairly wealthy. Aside from religious reasons, it was the more 'well off' families that circumsized back then. At that time it was just coming 'in style'. So it could easily go either way. I imagine Jasper wouldn't be. Carlisle wouldn't be either. Not sure on Emmett, but he probably would have been. He was canged in the early 1930s so he had to be bone around the 19-teens (I don't know exactly what year he was born in, off the top of my head). But he was in Tennessee, right? So I'm not sure. *shrugs*

In any case, my Edward model is gonna have pants on, so I won't be modeling out that particular piece of anatomy. *lol*

  4. hehehehe - well, if I'm being HONEST... I HAVE been tempted to model the lower half as well, but I doubt I really have time to go all out like that.

  5. I think light chest hair would be acceptable. None would just look odd to me. Especially since Rob Pattinson is always sporting a shadow on his face in the movie. Though you also need to take in account that he is 17. I only knew one guy in high school that had more than a little chest hair at that age and he was definitely not of Irish Catholic descent.

I doubt Emmett would have been clipped. He was born into a family based in rural Tennessee. Most likely a home birth in the 30s. He'd be luck to even have a birth certificate.
