The hands are still untextured.
This is still wip - obviously. This is also a screenshot out of the viewport in max, not a render. I intend to do a sub surface scattering skin shader on him, plus normal maps - none of which is applied yet. But this shows some of my progress. :)

I think it's so cool you are doing this.
ReplyDeleteI feel the need to give a bit of constructive criticism. First off, his skin need to be quite a bit lighter. Secondly, I would make his hair a little more sandy red than pinkish red. Like closer to a pumpkin than an red delicious apple. I hope that made sense.
Feel free to disregard. I know very little about 3d rendering but I'm picky about color.
Oh yeah, no worries about the colors. Like I said, this is a screenshot out of the viewport (Not like non-3d people would understand the significance behind that statement) but all of the colors are off in the viewport.
ReplyDeleteI haven't done any shader work yet either, and that will drastically change the tones of the textures, so I won't be doing any final tweaks on colors until after I've got the normal and spec maps done. I also have to setup a sub surface scattering shader, and that'll need a lot of tweaking too. So it's still early on in that regards.

I like it, it has a nice bod(lol, I would never say that but it just feels appropriate). But his face looked kind of diabolical. >:]
